green light

My phone has this green light that shines when a text message comes in.
My brain has developed a classifier for the light.
The classifier is over sensitive, because I want to make sure not to miss the light.
But that means I sometimes think the light is on when it isn't.

I was talking to a friend recently about machine learning in the brain.
I feel like parts of the brain are just like machine learning classifiers.
Just as imperfect.
